The Greene Turtle LAX Club is a non profit program being formed for girl lax players interested in playing the best competition through tournament play. This club is for those who want to take their game to another level having good sportsmanship and a commitment to learning. Our goal is to help each girl become the very best they can be both individually and collectively. We are looking for players who are serious about their game, yet want to have fun also.
GREENE TURTLE LACROSSE CLUB POLICY & PROCEDURES
In an effort to promote effective communication between parents, players, coaches, and club administrators, the Greene Turtle Lacrosse Club has established the following policy regarding the expression of concerns/complaints by parents and/or players.
The Greene Turtle Lacrosse Club expects that all parents and players will abide by the “Sportsmanship and Conduct” contract established by the club.
In following the “Sportsmanship and Conduct” contract, there will be NO “public” criticism of our coaches and/or other teams, players or parents during games or practices. It only serves to undermine the efforts that our daughters are putting forth on the field, and the coaches are putting forth on the sidelines.
It is imperative that parents and players always remember that Lacrosse is a “TEAM” sport, and we are in a “COMPETITIVE” tournament league. We are all striving for the common goal of being successful, both on and off the field, not as “individuals” but as a “team”.
*The Club policy/procedure for handling concerns or complaints is as follows:
DO NOT confront a coach, ever, with a concern or complaint immediately following a game or practice.
THE 24 HOUR RULE: If you have what you believe to be a legitimate concern, after having considered all aspects of your concern/s, you should contact Mr. Dickerson by telephone and discuss those concerns directly with him.
Mr. Dickerson will do everything in his power to work with all parents and players to reach a mutually satisfactory resolution.
HOWEVER, there may be occasions where this is not possible. We, as a club, understand that every parent, along with input from their daughter, must make their own decisions and do what is best for the player and their family regarding their participation in GTLAX Club.
Any questions or concerns which do not relate directly to “on field” matters, such as uniforms, travel arrangements, payments of fees, should be directed to your team parent representative/s.
Thank You!
