Dear Parents/Players: Please Mark Your Calendars and Save the Date for Sunday, May 23rd, 2010 from 1:00 - 4:00 p.m. This is our annual club kickoff event. All players of all six teams and at least one parent per player must be present. The day will consist of important club announcements from the club director, (Tommy), expectations for the summer season, each team will hold practice, and we will be distributing jackets, backpacks, and new uniforms on this day. (Assuming everything comes in) Please make arrangements to be there!

THE GREENE TURTLE GIRLS LACROSSE CLUB (OCEAN CITY) IS PLEASED TO ANNOUNCE THE 5TH ANNUAL "INDEPENDENT CLUB PLAYDAY" TO BE HELD ON SUNDAY, JUNE 6TH, 2010 AT THE UNIVERSITY OF MARYLAND, COLLEGE PARK. AS HOST CLUB, GREENE TURTLE LAX HAS BEEN WORKING CLOSELY WITH CATHY REESE AND HER STAFF AT THE UNIVERSITY OF MARYLAND TO MAKE THIS A GREAT DAY OF LACROSSE! THE PLAYDAY IS FOR GRADUATION YEARS 2011, 2012, & 2013'S. THE RESPONSE HAS BEEN TREMENDOUS, AND WE WANT TO THANK ALL OF THE CLUBS WHO HAVE REGISTERED TO PLAY, WE MIGHT EVEN HAVE TO USE 4 FIELDS THIS YEAR! 2010 Season Annual Membership Fee Now Due!
Dear Parents: If you have not already done so, please send your Annual Membership Fee, signed Code of Conduct, and US Lacrosse membership renewal form (for 2011, 2012, & 2013's) ASAP. We need to get all fees in so that we can begin taking orders for uniforms, jackets, and backpacks. The first half of Summer Tournament Fees will be due by March 15th with the second half being due by April 15th, 2010. Those amounts per player will be forwarded to you by your team mom by February 15th, 2010. Thank You!
WELCOME TO THE 2010 GTLAX SEASON!
Dear Parents/Players: First, we would like to extend a warm welcome back to all of our returning players. We would also like to extend a warm welcome to all of our new players to the "GTLax" family! We hope everyone had a relaxing and enjoyable holiday season! We here at GTLax have taken a much needed break from the daily work of "GTLax" business! But now the new year has arrived and it's time to get geared up for our 2010 season! We hope that everyone has had a chance to review the rosters that have been posted on this website. If you are on a roster, on Monday (1/11/10) each player will receive an e-mail with instructions on confirming their participation with GTLax for the 2010 season as well as instructions for submitting your signed code of conduct and the annual membership fee. Please note that because our tryouts were pushed back, we are several weeks behind administratively. The original due date for the annual membership fee to be paid was January 15th, 2010. However, we have pushed that back two weeks and your forms and fee will be due on Friday, January 29th, 2010. The annual membership fee for graduation years 2011, 2012, & 2013 is $200.00 (which includes players US Lacrosse membership renewal). The annual fee for graduation years 2014, 2015, & 2016 is $165.00. Also, in the next several weeks our coaching staff will be meeting to finalize our summer tournament schedule. With so many tournaments to choose from this is a daunting task. However, we will continue to strive to participate in competitive, fun tournaments with a minimum of travel. Tournaments already confirmed will be posted on the tournament page of this website by Friday of this week. Once we have confirmed everyones participation you will be contacted by either your coach or team mom regarding your practice schedule for January/February. We look forward to a great 2010 season!

Dear Parents/Players: We recognize that the tryout process is very stressful on both player and parent/s. Knowing that not all players will make teams is very difficult and the decisions that have to be made regarding cuts are not taken lightly. We would like to thank PJ Kesmodel, Jim Nestor, and Steve Falck for assisting our coaches in the assessment of players this past Sunday. As rosters are posted, we know there will be disappointments. It is our sincere hope that these players not get discouraged, and that they continue to play the game they love! Each year is a new beginning. Thank You.

THIS EVENT WOULD NOT BE POSSIBLE WITHOUT TOMMY DICKERSON AND HIS STAFF AT THE GREENE TURTLE WEST. SO, A HUGE THANK YOU GOES OUT TO TOMMY AND HIS AWESOME STAFF FOR TAKING CARE OF EVERYONE WHO ATTENDED ON SUNDAY AND FOR KEEPING THE FOOD, OYSTERS, & BEER FLOWING! Dear Parents, This is a reminder that all club parents and players are expected to comply with the club "Code of Conduct". The Code of Conduct as well as the club policy and procedure regarding the expression of concerns and/or complaints are posted on this website on the "mission statement" page as well as on the "forms & links" page. Mr. Dickerson strongly urges all parents to re-read the Code of Conduct and the policy thoroughly. Remember, although it may make us feel better at that moment, complaining and criticizing on the sidelines during games or practice does not bring about change. The Club is committed to making this a positive experience for the girls and we are all invested in our success! U.S. LACROSSE MEMBERSHIP RENEWAL FOR HIGH SCHOOL PLAYERS:
Dear Parents: Please be advised that we have sent in our Club's U.S. Lacrosse membership renewal which includes renewal for each individual High School Player. U.S. Lacrosse processes "Club/Group" membership renewals in the order in which they are received. As long as they receive our packet prior to our "group" expiration date there is NO LAPSE in individual memberships. Ours has been received and is being processed. Please do not call U.S. Lacrosse, please do not e-mail your coach or team mom, your daughter's membership will be renewed without any lapse in membership. For those of you whose daughters have been selected to try out for the WDNT (Women's Division National Tournament) simply provide your High School Coach with your daughter's membership number, that number never changes. Greene Turtle Lax is pleased to announce and wishes to extend a warm welcome to P.J. Kesmodel our college recruitment consultant. PJ is a nationally renowned coach and the founder of Heros Tournament Lacrosse Club. A 2004 inductee into the Hall of Fame of the Greater Baltimore Chapter of U.S. Lacrosse, PJ fought for the establishment of womens lacrosse in Howard County and then created the womens lacrosse program at Mt. Hebron High School. He is the only Maryland coach to have won a state championship in both boys and girls lacrosse. In addition, PJ has over 30 years experience as a guidance counselor at Mt. Hebron High School specializing in college placement of student athletes. PJ has recently retired from Mt. Hebron High School. He is currently living in Delaware and coaching varsity girls lacrosse at Cape Henlopen High School. PJs expertise is a tremendous asset to our club! Welcome PJ!
