GTLax 2012 Tryout and Season Information
We have been receiving numerous inquiries from interested persons regarding GTLax Club tryouts for the 2012 season. Please refer to the letter below from our club director. There may, or may not be, available roster spots on our existing teams. If you are a graduation year 2013, 2014, or 2015 and are intersted in playing for Greene Turtle Lax, you may e-mail us at: anne@gtlaxclub.com with your name, graduation year, high school, years of experience, any previous club lacrosse experience, and your phone number where you can be reached. You will then be contacted by the club director. Thank you!

Dear GTLax Parents/Players:
As the fall tournament season winds down, it is time to think about our 2012 season. Many of you have been inquiring about when tryouts will be. As you all know the Greene Turtle Girls Lacrosse Club is not adding any new teams to our program, however, we are 100% committed to seeing our 2013, 2014, and 2015 teams through to graduation! Because these three teams are established high school level teams, we have decided there is no need to hold formal tryouts this year.
Our rosters for these three teams are well set and we assume that everyone currently rostered is committed to continuing on with their team for the 2012 season. If for some reason, you have made the decision not to continue on with your team for 2012 you MUST e-mail us (privately) at anne@gtlaxclub.com and let us know by December 5th, 2011.
Thanks to the wonderful job of our parent volunteers with this years annual fundraiser, our annual membership fee will remain the same for the 2012 season at $235.00. This includes your $35.00 annual fee for your US Lacrosse membership which is required. The 2012 Tournament Season annual membership fee is due by January 15th, 2012 and should be mailed to Debbie Sass. We will send out a reminder!
Summer 2012 tournament registrations, deposits, and hotel bookings have already been made for all three teams. So far, the summer 2012 tournament schedule is as follows:

CONGRATULATIONS 2015 TEAM!
Congratulations to the 2015 team on their great performance at Lax Clash last weekend. The 2015's won all four games to advance to the Championship game. The team played Capital Blue for the Championship, losing 8-4 in a hard fought battle. Great job girls! Go GTLax!
BULL & OYSTER ROAST WRAP-UP!
Thank you to everyone who participated and attended our annual Greene Turtle Girls Lax Bull and Oyster Roast on Sunday! What a great day of food and fun for our parents and players. We are extremely grateful to all who came out and showed their support. As in previous years, the event was very successful and allows us to continue to keep our annual fee at the $200.00 level. We would like to express our sincere appreciation to Lee Trice for agreeing to take on the task of "chairperson" for the event. Lee, along with a group of parent volunteers, did a great job of putting the event together. We would like to thank volunteers Kim Mcloota, Kathy Hayman, Alison Klebe, Bonnie Greer, Cathy Dorey, Ned Delaney, Chris Remmel and Debbie Sass for working with Lee to make the day a success. Thanks to all of our great GTLax players who came out and helped as well! Lastly, we have to thank our leader Tommy Dickerson! Without his constant commitment and support and the support of the Greene Turtle, none of this would be possible. If you see Tommy, please let him know how much you appreciate everything he does for our daughters! Thanks again to everyone! Go GTLax!

Please Mark Your Calendars and Save the Date for Sunday, May 22nd, 2011 from 3:00 - 5:30 p.m., at the Naylor Mill Road Sports Complex in Salisbury, Maryland. This is our annual club kickoff event. All players of all four teams and at least one parent per player must be present. The kickoff will begin with important club announcements from the club director, (Tommy), expectations for the summer season and each team will hold practice. We will also be distributing uniforms and other ordered items. Please make arrangements to be there! If you have an absolute family emergency and are unable to be there, YOU OR YOUR DAUGHTER MUST CONTACT HER COACH DIRECTLY TO DISCUSS IT WITH HIM/HER.

2011 ANNUAL MEMBERSHIP FEE/S & UNIFORM ORDERS DUE NOW!
Dear Parents: If you have not already done so, 2011 annual membership fees and uniform orders must be received by January 30, 2011. Uniform orders must be placed the first week of February or we will not receive them by our first tournament. We also need to receive any unpaid annual membership fees by then as well. We are finalizing the summer tournament schedule which will be posted in its entirety in the next few days. You will then receive an e-mail summarizing each teams schedule along with the schedule of payment for summer tournament fees. Summer Tournament fees may be made in two payments, the first will be due on March 15th, 2011 and the second and final payment will be due by April 15th, 2011. Thank You.

U.S. LACROSSE MEMBERSHIP RENEWAL FOR HIGH SCHOOL PLAYERS:
Dear Parents: Please be advised that we have sent in our Club's U.S. Lacrosse membership renewal which includes renewal for each individual High School Player. U.S. Lacrosse processes "Club/Group" membership renewals in the order in which they are received. As long as they receive our packet prior to our "group" expiration date there is NO LAPSE in individual memberships. Ours has been received and is being processed. Please do not call U.S. Lacrosse, please do not e-mail your coach or team mom, your daughter's membership will be renewed without any lapse in membership. For those of you whose daughters have been selected to try out for the WDNT (Women's Division National Tournament) simply provide your High School Coach with your daughter's membership number, that number never changes. Greene Turtle Lax is pleased to announce and wishes to extend a warm welcome to P.J. Kesmodel our college recruitment consultant. PJ is a nationally renowned coach and the founder of Heros Tournament Lacrosse Club. A 2004 inductee into the Hall of Fame of the Greater Baltimore Chapter of U.S. Lacrosse, PJ fought for the establishment of womens lacrosse in Howard County and then created the womens lacrosse program at Mt. Hebron High School. He is the only Maryland coach to have won a state championship in both boys and girls lacrosse. In addition, PJ has over 30 years experience as a guidance counselor at Mt. Hebron High School specializing in college placement of student athletes. PJ has recently retired from Mt. Hebron High School. He is currently living in Delaware and coaching varsity girls lacrosse at Cape Henlopen High School. PJs expertise is a tremendous asset to our club! Welcome PJ!
