Coaches Quotes
"I truly cannot think of a better opportunity for a youth or high school lacrosse player to be coached, developed, and mentored by Matt McGinnis. I see Matt as one of the finest coaches in the country at any level. His fine back round, his tact as a teacher/coach, his genuine love for the sport, really puts him in a very special class."
Hank Janczyk

"I have witnessed Matt McGinnis coach as an assistant coach, head college coach and head club coach over the last ten years. Matt has a great mind for the game and gets the most out of his players. I would want my son playing for Coach McGinnis!"
Jim Berkman
Head Men's Lacrosse Coach
Salisbury University
"I have watch Matt grow through the ranks of College Coaching and what impresses me the most is the professional approach he has with all of his players. What's even more impressive is his knowledge for the game and how he can develop and recognize the true potential of his players. This is why Matt saw such instance success as a Head Coach at the college level. The Greene Turtle Lacrosse Club is fortunate enough to have a coach that will truly prepare their players to play at the next level!"
Dave Cottle
Head Men's Lacrosse Coach
University of Maryland
"Our son, Dave, played for Matt McGinnis and the Greene Turtle Eastern Shore Lacrosse Club for four years. Not only did Dave receive excellent instruction and skills development from Matt and the other coaches but he also received personalized assistance during the college recruiting process. Matt was with Dave every step of the way–Matt was instrumental in helping Dave locate schools that were appropriate for him, helping Dave make contact with the coaches and providing Dave with valuable insight about what would be the "right fit" for him both academically and athletically. As a former college coach and current assistant athletic director, Matt's knowledge of the process and the coaches in the process was immense. Further, Matt also tirelessly contacted a number of coaches to share his personal insights with them regarding Dave's ability to contribute to their program. Matt made himself available to Dave and us for questions and his explanation of the whole process was spot on target. As a result of Matt's instruction and assistance, Dave enjoyed a smooth recruiting process and was able to commit to a school of his choice which was both a solid academic and athletic fit.
Dave has worn his Greene Turtle uniform proudly during these past four years and as parents we could not have been happier about the experience. Not only did Matt and his program help our son advance his game but Matt also demonstrated the leadership skills we hope our son will one day emulate. Winning a lot of games during those summer tournaments was fun too!
Thank you Matt and Greene Turtle for an amazing experience both on and off the field. We cannot thank you and your staff enough for all of the support that you have provided to our family."
